We are actively seeking a relationship-oriented, motivated individual to join our team as a National Key Account Manager. This position requires an extremely strategic and client focused individual possessing an exceptional ability to provide a value added consultative sales approach to large progressive dairies while successfully meeting sales targets. 

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing new clients and building new relationships, maintaining existing client relationships, achieving and exceeding sales goals, and implementing creative sales strategies within assigned Partner Clients.

  • Developing an in depth understanding of all Semex’s products/programs and competitive products to articulate the benefits and advantages of Semex’s products/programs, and handle customer concerns or objections.

  • Developing a thorough understanding of the customer's business, sufficient to serve the customer's needs through a value enhanced, solutions based consultative selling process.

  • Taking total ownership in creating and driving account strategy plans - engaging customers at a strategic "business" level.

  • Working in collaboration with local District Sales Representatives to cultivate relationships and grow sales in their respective territories.

The qualified candidate will have an agricultural business or related degree along with at least 5 years of solid successful sales/business development expertise in the Progressive Dairy Industry. Successful candidates must possess an aggressive value added selling and marketing approach along with well-developed business communication and negotiation skills.   Proficiency in Dairy herd software (including Dairy Comp/PC Dart) and Microsoft Office required.  Considerable travel will be involved.
